We started RayTen Creative Design to create a space where people could explore watercolor in a way that felt approachable and supportive. Our journey began when Karen discovered watercolor as a personal creative outlet during a major career transition. What began as self-guided learning through online resources grew into a passion for teaching and sharing creativity with others.
As a mother of four, Karen understood the importance of accessible creative spaces that welcome people at every stage of life. Over time, she began offering watercolor time that focused on learning techniques and enjoying the process rather than striving for perfect results. This approach helped students feel more relaxed, confident, and open to creative exploration.
Today, we offer watercolor painting classes in Thurston County Area and Mobile, and surrounding areas, designed for children, adults, and seniors alike. Our classes emphasize patience, encouragement, and understanding how watercolor works. We believe creativity grows when people feel supported, not rushed or judged.
We focus on reliability, clear communication, and creating experiences that people can count on. Whether we are hosting a mobile class, a community event, or a creative retreat, our goal remains the same.
